STOP A.C.T.A (and the like)
At the beginning of the school year 2011-2012 there were not enough school books for Greek schoolchildren. The Ministry of Education put .pdf and .zip versions of the current school books online, available for download by the general public (http://digitalschool.minedu.gov.gr/books/). A suggestion of mine, as a parent with internet access, was that the parents who could should download and print out as neccessary copies of the books for students who did not have internet access as this would be a guesture of goodwill and would help ease the financial burden on the schools (printing costs, teacher hours etc). This would involve downloading, printing and distributing copyrighted material, so, my question is this: Greece has signed A.C.T.A (although it has yet to be ratified by the EU), would I be found guilty of doing something illegal or is this one of the famed ‘grey’ areas open to interpretation by local authorities?
